Modernising 164 ageing light fittings
Chiropedic Bedding engaged Victorian Power Savers to undertake a complete lighting assessment and upgrade across its retail floor and back-of-house areas.
The project involved replacing 164 ageing fluorescent tubes that were well past their efficient service life.
The existing lighting was consuming significant amounts of electricity, required ongoing maintenance and delivered inconsistent illumination across the site.
Victorian Power Savers was tasked with designing an energy-efficient solution that would improve lighting performance, reduce operating costs and minimise long-term maintenance - while maintaining appropriate lighting levels throughout every space.
A complete LED lighting transformation
Following a comprehensive site assessment, Victorian Power Savers replaced 164 existing fittings with high-performance LED alternatives, each selected for its specific application.
The upgrade introduced modern LED tubes, ensuring every area met the required lighting standards while significantly cutting energy use.
The completed project delivered:
- 164 LED fittings installed
- 81% reduction in lighting energy consumption
- Lux levels improved from an average of 195 to 413 lux
- Reduced maintenance requirements
- Increased lighting consistency and workplace safety
The result is a modern lighting system delivering long-term operational savings of around $16,301 per year, improved reliability and a brighter, more productive retail environment.
