Business Summary
Bittern Primary School has been educating Victorians since 1919 and has been an integral pillar of the Bittern community. The primary school is committed to providing all of their students with the skills and abilities to prepare them for a bright future. The school boasts many social programs and helps support the students from prep through to year 6.
Upgrade Summary
We were contacted by Bittern Primary School to assist them with upgrading their lighting throughout the school. Our experts designed a new lighting system that would result in a significant amount of energy reduction as well as achieve a brighter and more uniform level of lighting. It was proposed that the existing fluorescent lighting be upgraded to the latest LED tube technology. Our electricians completed the upgrade over a weekend which was followed shortly afterwards by a lighting audit. The results of the audit indicated that the light levels had increased by 60% and the energy demand had been markedly reduced by 76%. This project was eligible for the Tier 1 - 100% rebate, meaning that all of the costs to upgrade were covered by credits generated through the VEET scheme.
